He investigado un poquito sobre el clima del suroccidente, el caso es que no se si me creereis peroo bueno con ver el informativo regional de asturias lo veis día a día. El suroccidente es en términos climatológicos distinto al resto de asturias, qué frío hace en invierno y qué calor en verano!!!de hecho le llaman la castilla de asturias yo lo comparo un poco con el caso de ourense en galicia pues Cangas del Narcea o Ibias serían el ourense de asturias, bueno voy con datos a los cuales he podido acceder (hago referencia a ellos de forma esquemática y muy resumida):
*Llegada de los frentes muy debilitados a esta zona, se calcula que en esta zona llueve entre un 20-30% menos que en el resto de Asturias.
*Influencia continental de la meseta durante todo el año.
*Máximas que rozan los 40ºC en verano en Ibias y Cangas del Narcea.
*Mínimas que en la ciudad de Cangas del Narcea no es raro que en invierno se sitúen alrededor de ls -8-10ºC.
*Presencia de sequía estival tanto Junio,Julio, Agosto e incluso algunos años Mayo y Septiembre (sobre todo en estos ultimos años).
*Las precipitaciones se producen especialemente en Octubre y Noviembre (como en Castilla).
*En verano prácticamente no cae una gota, las pocas que caen son por tormentas.
*En días despejados, por ejemplo Cangas del Narcea (aludo a esta ciudad por que es la capital del área suroccidental) triplica la cifra de Gijón.
*Humedad relativa sensiblemente inferior a la del resto de Asturias (esto explica que prácticamente no existan hayedos en estos concejos (Cangas del Narcea, Ibias, Degaña, Allande y sur de Tineo).
*Según datos de una anuario geográfico, el clima de esta zona es ^Mediterráneo Oceánico^ es decir una mezcla entre el Mediterráneo continentalizado por ejemplo el de Salamanca y el Oceánico (Oviedo).
*Este clima explica por ejemplo la presencia de alcornoques y encinas en este área, especies que necesitan menos humedad y precipitacion y más sol.
Además de recopilar esta información que es una información realista y sacada de páginas creibles yo he tenido oportunidad de presenciar los efectos de este clima tanto en verano como en invierno y os aseguro que esa parte se parece más a León que a Asturias.

Estoy bastante de acuerdo con lo que comentas en este reportaje. No es de estrañar si tenemos en cuenta que es la parte de Asturias que geográficamente se encuentra más alejada del mar y por tanto de su influencia. De echo el pueblo de Luiña en el concejo de Ibias (que conozco personalmente) es el mas suroccidental de Asturias y el más alejado del mar.
Mi hermano ha vivido 11 años en Cangas de Narcea y yo he tenido la oportunidad de conocer aquella zona en todas las epocas del año y recuerdo temperaturas realmente extremas, de -6 o -10 ºC en Cangas en invierno :cold: y 36 ºC en verano. Y en Leitariegos ya ni te cuento...
hasta -20 ºC en una ocasión y en verano se asan hasta las lagartijas en el puerto.
Así que para mi sí que tiene un clima más castellano que asturiano, pero ahi esta lo bonito de nuestra tierra, la diversidad de paisajes y de climas incluso.
